Web Identity Guidelines
There are many Web developers and content editors across campus. We are all working together to achieve a common goal: consistently present high-quality and relevant information to prospective students, internal staff and faculty, and our local community.
While the department of Marketing and Communications oversees the visual appearance and best practices for content, the goal is to work cohesively to provide a consistent experience for our users. No one wants to visit a website and have a feeling of disconnection as they navigate from the Office of Admissions to the Department of Business and back to the Alumni & Development pages.
By maintaining a consistent experience through appearance (using the Drupal theme provided by Marketing) and writing, we are able to have many talented Web developers and editors working on the same system, resulting in a professional and cohesive message to our external and internal audiences.
Most importantly, all of this ultimately helps to provide less frustration for our users. They can find what they need and move on.
