Chancellor search update

Photo of vintage desk and chairThe selection process to identify a new chancellor is well underway.

An undisclosed number of candidates have been reviewed by the search committee. A subset of those applicants was invited to interview with the search committee face-to-face over a two-day period in January. Separately, search consultants checked the background and references of candidates. The identity of candidates is highly confidential at present.

Next the search committee will narrow the pool of candidates further. A smaller group of candidates will be invited to campus to meet with faculty, staff and students. A public forum with an opportunity for Q and A will likely be part of the process. Feedback from these meetings will be considered in the final decision process.

The process will continue until the committee presents its final recommendation to WSU President Elson Floyd at the end of spring semester.
